~ Introduction ~

This handbook is for every member of the Vault 52 community. It will describe sectors on how to correctly host any security event, conduct each segment, and contains specific rules and details pertaining to each respective segment. It is worthy noting that only certain roles are permitted to host certain events. If you have any questions or find any errors you see in this handbook, please contact vo1dspire on Discord.

~ Event Arrangements ~

This area of the handbook is dedicated to Hosts and Co-Hosts who would like to start any Security related event. It is vital to follow all protocols thoroughly to keep order to our system and properly inform members. The host may create a poll to view if division members are available at a time the host poses. If the host is satisfied or unsatisfied with the poll result on how many attendees would be able to show, they should let attendants know at least an hour before beginning. It’s also important to log all events done when they are concluded. This can be done in the “event-logs” channel within the V52 | Security Department Discord server. Format can be found here:

Before the host creates the event announcement, they should ensure they are already occupying a server. The host should wait approximately 10 minutes after the announcement to begin. Their margin of beginning may depend on the situation. We trust the host will handle this situation with efficiency and professionalism. It is encouraged that hosts perform trainings with their own spin to give Security members a unique experience each time to try and educate them on something new each time.

This is not required, however, if a host does not wish to include time zone and instead would like to use the universal timestamp, a link to a generator is here:
